CORONA VIRUS UPDATE

Dear Friends,

In the interest of public safety, and based upon the recent guidance from the State of California, Contra Costa County and the City of Walnut Creek, Center REP is postponing all remaining performances in the 2019-20 season: Pride & Prejudice, 9 to 5 (produced by LCA Presents,) and In The Heights.

This period of uncertainty weighs heavily on us all, but we remain hopeful and look forward to bringing our Center REP family together again. Indeed, the arts have a unique ability to bring together and celebrate community.

We have already taken steps to present these productions as part of our 2020-21 Season. When the Lesher Center re-opens, we will be here to share these wonderful shows with you. A new season announcement will be made soon and brochures and renewal notices will be mailed out to you in May.

"The show must go on" is a saying that has been part of not just the theatre world, but our culture at large, a touchstone for facing adversity and overcoming obstacles with purpose and patience, with unity as a community.

The show will go on, but the impact of these postponements is enormous, affecting the actors, musicians, designers, carpenters, back stage crew and artisans. You can make a difference during this difficult time. Below are several options for you to consider. If you are able to donate the value of your remaining tickets back to Center REP, you will receive a tax-deductible receipt and our unbounded appreciation.

Ticket Holders of postponed current season productions — please consider your options below. You may email info@lesherartscenter.org to confirm your preferred compensation option.

Option 1: Choose to return your remaining season tickets for a Ticket Credit. We can return the remaining value of your subscription to your account and bank this value for future ticket purchases. Season Renewal invoices will be mailed by early May. You can use this season's Ticket Credit towards next season's fantastic line up. This Ticket Credit resides in your patron account and is available to you with no restrictions for future ticket purchases (by phone or in person only.) Ticket Credits never expire.

Option 2: Donate your remaining tickets to Center REP. We understand that not everyone is able to do so, but you can make a big difference during this difficult time. Every contribution is appreciated.

Option 3: Request a full refund. We will respect all refund requests. We can return ticket purchase refunds to your credit card of choice or by check. Check refunds may take several weeks to process.

Option 4: A mixture of the above. For example, you can choose to donate the value of one show and request a ticket credit for the remaining show(s). Or you can donate two shows and request a refund for the third.

We thank you for your patience as we address a tremendous volume of emails. And looking forward, we will enjoy welcoming you back to the Lesher Center for the Arts and Center REP and sharing with you the power of human imagination and spirit of community we all value and need.

Stay safe and well,

Lesher Center for the Arts staff / Center REP staff
